I do believe I’m set.
While walking through the skyways at lunch, I saw a girl walking outside wearing a tardis winter hat. Seriously considered running outside to tell her how awesome it is and bond over Doctor Who geekiness, especially since I’m wearing my Doctor Who tardis scarf today.
I’m often overcome with this feeling of needing to bond when I see people who share my fandoms. I’ve interrupted people reading the Hunger Games on the bus to gush about the series, and I’ve contemplated tearing Wheel of Time novels out of peoples’ hands and telling them to get out and save themselves while they still can.
But for the most part, I keep my geekdom to myself.
So fellow geeks, would you appreciate a stranger noticing your outward signs of fandoms and striking up a conversation?
btw, I do believe the hat in question was this one from etsy. It looks awesomely sweet in person, even from afar.
